Hello!

I am here to give an analysis of the book I read "The Call of The Wild" by Jack London. It will be the last book which I have read before because this book also was in our gymnasium as an important book for reading, improving English language skills. The book was written and published in 1903 and it's based in about the same period the late 1800s and 1900s. The book starts off with Buck who is the main character, who is actually a dog. It starts off in California community and he lives very well, he was treated very well and one day he gets kidnapped and sent up to the Klondike to be sold off for dog sledding purposes. They take him up, everyone wants to buy that dog because he was such a strong dog. After all of his dog racing, he Judge Miller who was first dog's owner, gets on with his crew of three, they go around with the other dogs, they don't feed them well so a lot of their dogs had died off. Buck was one of the only one left well. The main point of this book is that Buck is the leader of the forest at that time because he shows his dominance in the wild.

I think that a reader can really come a part of this book because we all love dogs but it's such an adventurous story when it thinks that what if I will be in this situation. When I read it I was interested in the dog's fate. I am loved in dogs and when I am reading different books where there are dogs, I always thinking about successful fate and happy end. This book always makes me think that this is only beginning of the story, that there are many situations and heavinesses which will show how strong this dog is.

Thank you a lot for your attention,

Ernest

  1. Hi Ernest - I see that you love dogs and that you like reading about dogs. Do you have a dog? What kind? What is another book you have read that is about dogs? Is it similar to Call of the Wild?

  2. hello Erny, I think this is a really good choice. I love dogs and like movies about them. They inspire other think about real group work. Have you found some similarities with your life in this story? Maybe some events were unusual for you? As I've understood you have already read this book, so what is the end of the story? What do you think if you were writer, what would you change in this story?
